"A candid and genuine memoir of a woman’s life and how she considers life struggles just to be another lesson and opportunity. It’s impossible to not have a renewed sense of optimism and motivation after reading this book. We should all learn to look through life with rosé colored glasses!"
"Don't let anything get in the way of making your dreams come true. If you fall get back up. You are in control. Thanks Robin!"
"Humorous and practical story of a real woman."
"I loved this book! So much wonderful information, made me laugh and so easy to read. I feel I learned so much and would recommend to everyone!"
“Here… Hold My Wine” by Robin F Anderson was a pure delight. Her practical and impractical guide to life was a reminder of some of the basic practices necessary for success in this competitive world. This book made me laugh out loud with an unparalleled wit and sense of humor. She also touched my heart with some of the challenges and frustrations she experienced in this man’s world. Robins coaching made it possible for me to transform certain situations in my own life resulting in positive outcomes that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. This book would be invaluable for any college student looking to make their way in the business world and a good read for anyone with desires to be a success in life. She is a living example of “How To Win Friends and Influence People”. I raise my glass to Robins book. Thank you for sharing your Hold My Wine moments.
"My name is Sue Lane. I know Robin from grooming her dogs. I feel like I have known her for years. Robin puts you at ease the very first time she meets you. She is the most sincere, caring, friendly person i have ever met. She will help anyone and everyone she comes in contact with. After reading her book, which I HIGHLY recommend reading, I realized we have more in common than I would have ever thought. Robin is very inspiring. So inspiring, after reading her book, I have decided to enroll in a college and go back to school to improve myself. I can’t thank Robin enough for writing and giving me Here Hold My Wine. Robin is a person who you can count on for anything you need. I feel I have a very good friend for life."
"A must read for anyone trying to see a life change. Whether you are contemplating moving forward with education, while facing more than every day type struggles, wondering how it can be done. Along with practical points how to get ahead in your career."
"This is an adventure in how to tackle and overcome Life's challenges in a very humorous way. A great primer for Life! Now I'm thirsty for wine."
"This book contains a lot of real life moments and how your attitude can help you to cope or enjoy. As I am a huge wine drinker I thought the wine analogies were highly entertaining. I see this as a coaching book from a real woman with true situations. Like so many women life just goes better with a glass or three, obviously the author and I would get along great. Cheers to Ms. Anderson!"
"Some people seem to go through life, landing perk after perk --- seemingly without effort --- and you wonder to yourself, how do they do that? Well, in, “Here…Hold My Wine!” Ms. Anderson pops the cork and pours out a different perspective on how to get your cups to overflow….Told in a Lemons to Lemonade, or more accurately Grapes to Wine style, Ms. Anderson shares her personal and professional set-backs and the choices she made to not just get through -- but overcome these set-backs. In some cases, surpassing even her own expected outcomes!! And as an extra bonus, at the end of each chapter, Ms. Anderson provides a brief inspirational takeaway … to be read either at the end of the chapter, or as Inspirational Stand-Alone Section….look for these “Here, Hold My Wine Moments.”
"I have heard people say "I couldn't put it down." That's never happened to me until now. I truly had to force myself to put the book down so I could get to work. Great book!! Lots of laughs and good advice. Highly recommended!!!!"
"Wonderful read! I enjoyed listening to this book every morning on my way to work. It’s very uplifting, funny, inspiring and motivational. Highly recommended!"
“I’ve known Robin since she was an undergrad student in business. I didn’t notice her until I read her first paper. It was the best undergrad paper I had ever read. I then paid more attention to her. She was an instant friend to everyone and a leader in every class I taught her. Her ability to apply the stuff she learned in class made me encourage her to earn an MBA. By the time she was working on an MBA, she had been promoted several times. You will not regret reading her stories and her adventures in life. She has so much to offer whether in your profession or personally. Her advice, wisdom, humor, and her own stories are worth the tiny price of this very interesting book. Now that I have retired from teaching, I consider Robin a true friend and a confidant. I am very lucky.”
“This was an amazing read of all you have accomplished in your life! I am most impressed that when you talk about business and your work. You are so knowledgeable and insightful – anyone can tell you must love what you do! As a young adult, that is very inspiring. Your writing also became so natural throughout the book and at the end it was so nice to feel like you had grown into your own voice. A nice touch to a book that highlights that exact message!”
"'Here, Hold My Wine' by Robin Anderson is equal parts hysterical and poignant. She writes about her life starting as a young girl and works her way through several different waypoints in her life describing how all of these episodes shaped her. As she navigates her course through difficult friends, love interests, co-workers, bosses, jobs, etc... one thing becomes quite clear. Robin is no victim. She fights her way through everything. She asks for nothing and consistently, by some strange combination of luck, good Karma, talent, and determination she achieves a positive resolution. Honestly, her story should be taught in schools. Life kept throwing things at her and in every instance, she responded by working hard, staying positive, and refusing to play the victim. It is a resiliency that we seem to have lost in our society. I highly recommend this book and I think this would be an excellent gift for any young woman in your life that will soon be graduating high school or college. Easily five stars... wish I could give it more."
